We Love Games

This narrative explores a married couple and their love for vintage board games. This portrait photographer and product photographer project showcases my skills in both areas.

This album began with a simple idea. I wanted to create a piece of work that would represent my work as a studio photographer and engagement session photographer.

Finding the right couple for the project was a difficult task. I was looking for a cis couple of similar height who could express wide emotional ranges with expression alone. I also needed a couple who would be as committed to the project as I was so that I could ensure that would not be a worry for me as we began the photography.

The games, many purchased on eBay, were often inexpensive, but some were collector’s items and priced accordingly. Another consideration that made the acquisition process difficult was that many games were 40+ years old. The hunt was difficult since I was committed to only photographing games in excellent condition.
