Photos Per Person
For corporate headshots, I typically deliver five to twenty photos per person. The final number delivered depends on the time allowed, poses, expressions, and participation.
Time Allowed
For most subjects, five minutes is enough time to create excellent portraits for most business uses. Some subjects require less time and some subjects require more time, but planning for five minutes per person typically works best.
If you’d like me to spend less than five minutes per person, I can create photographs more quickly, but the subject may feel rushed and the final photo count per person may be less than if I had more time.
If you’d like to schedule more time per person, I can offer additional time as an additional service. Simply add $30 per person per 5-minute addition. That will increase the final photo count and may make some subjects more comfortable being photographed.
Poses
My headshot photography includes easy-to-follow posing prompts. I’ll photograph every subject with their hands at their sides or in their pockets. When the subject’s apparel and body type allows, I’ll also photograph them in an arms-crossed power pose.
Expressions
I’ll prompt most subjects for a neutral expression, a closed-smile expression, and a full-smile expression. Through this process, I’ll provide verbal cues that help reveal their authentic personality.
Participation
Subjects are typically excited, nervous, ambivalent, or uncooperative. My job as your headshot photographer is to make each subject type feel at ease and move them through the process quickly.
Some subjects will want to spend additional time in front of my camera; I do my best to accommodate them within your schedule. Likewise, some subjects want to be done as quickly as possible; and I try to meet those desires too if I can also deliver excellent photographs.
In addition to creating great photos, I want your subjects to enjoy the process—or at least find it tolerable.
