Houston Engagement Session Photographer
Houston couples choose me as their engagement photographer when “good enough” isn’t good enough. Have camera, will travel.
Whether you’ve hired me to photograph your wedding, you’re visiting Houston from out-of-town, or if you live here but are getting married elsewhere, I hope you’ll consider hiring me as your engagement photographer.
Location Assistance
I’ll provide advice and help you pick the best Houston engagement photography location depending on your history, personalities, and sensibilities.
We can create photos at a local park, a downtown streetscape, in your home, at the beach, on a pier, at an arboretum, at a train station, in a museum, at the observatory, a destination location, at Minute Maid Park, at Toyota Center, NRG Stadium, on bicycles, wherever you met, at your favorite restaurant, at my studio, or anywhere in-between.
We’ll find somewhere perfect. Don’t skip your engagement session!

Terms and Conditions
You agree to these Terms and Conditions and my global Terms and Conditions by scheduling or using my services.
Appointments are confirmed via email. Appointments are only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email.
Projects that exceed $500 require an agreement. Those appointments aren’t confirmed without a signed legal agreement.
Photographs are only delivered after all payments are received. Houston sales tax (8.25%) is collected for Texas projects. Wire transfer payments are subject to a $15 processing fee. Prices and services may change without notice.
A $100 per hour travel fee may apply for distant locations or when the project start or end times require travel with heavy traffic. This fee also covers mileage and tolls.
There is a $150 fee for no-show appointments, when canceling or rescheduling within 3 hours of your appointment, or when twice canceling appointments.
I can accept cash, check, ACH, or Zelle payments for these discounted rates. You may also pay by credit card, but my non-discounted rate then applies. For my non-discounted rate, you’ll add 4% to your project total.
For June, July, August, or September on-location outdoor projects, an additional $100 heat-hazard fee may apply. That heat-hazard fee is waived for indoor projects and outdoor projects in areas immediately adjacent to my Silos studio.
As partial compensation for these services, you grant me the right to market my studio with your photographs. Non-celebrity subject names are never used alongside photographs.
I’m not responsible for a subject’s physical appearance including hairstyles, facial hair, body hair, makeup, body image, perspiration, tattoos, jewelry, eyeglass glare, or wardrobe issues.
Your project begins at your scheduled start time—even if you arrive late.
I’m not liable for any consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages. Any liability is limited to fees you’ve paid.
Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.
For Wedding Clients
We’ll improve your wedding-day photography when you hire me as your engagement photographer. I create better wedding-day photographs when I’ve photographed you before your event.
I’ll better understand your personalities and best expressions during your engagement photography session. And that understanding means better photographs.
This couple’s portrait session also builds confidence. Seeing how amazing you look in photos builds confidence. It also helps you trust me as your wedding photographer.
The engagement photography experience and resulting photographs will also establish a visual vocabulary that helps you clearly articulate the photography style you prefer.
Also, it’s only natural that you might feel a bit anxious about being photographed by a professional engagement photographer. And since extra wedding-day pressure isn’t ideal, one portrait session benefit is that afterward, you’ll feel more comfortable in front of any camera—and especially my camera.
Finally, there are only so many wedding-attire photos you can gift or display. Let’s create some casual-clothing engagement photographs featuring your lifestyle.
