Sean Hayes & Scott Icenogle Wedding

I was honored when I was asked to photograph Sean Hayes’ and Scott Icenogle’s 2014 celebrity wedding. It was my first wedding where celebrities hired me directly.

As a wedding photographer and marriage equality ally, photographing their event was thrilling.

Sean Hayes is a noted actor, hilarious comedian, and talented producer best known for the SmartLess Podcast and his role as Jack McFarland on the NBC sitcom Will & Grace.

Scott Icenogle is a music producer and composer who has lent his talents to help create the theme songs for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “Sean Saves the World.” Some of Scott’s most famous projects include Christina Aguilera’s remix “Ain’t No Other Man” and Katy Perry’s remix of “California Girls.”

Although I can’t share many photos from their event, here are two of my photos that they’ve shared publicly. As an interesting side note, the close-detail photo has 100,000+ FB likes!

When I met them at their home for our initial meeting, I asked how they found me. Sean mentioned that he had searched for “quirky los angeles photographer” and I came up first on Google’s search results. I fully embrace that label and am happy to be seen with that keyword combo.

They’re super nice guys and they hosted a lovely, private event. There was a non-disclosure agreement associated with this wedding so I can’t tell cool stories here even though there were many. However, I can share that Sean is authentically super funny in real life too. Scotty is perfectly complementary and dare I say–equally funny but with a subdued delivery.

I’ve photographed hundreds of couples since 2004; these two guys are true gems and a perfect match.
