If you’re unsure what to write about when developing your photographer’s biography or about me page, you can start by answering these questions.
- What’s the official name of your studio?
- What’s your primary photographic specialty? (pick up to three)
- What are your other photographic specialties? (pick up to three)
- What’s your primary geographic target? (pick one city)
- What are your secondary geographic targets? (pick up to three cities)
- In what year did you first start taking photographs as a serious hobbyist/amateur?
- In what year did you begin work as a professional photographer?
- What makes you different from your competitors?
- List other photographers you admire most and explain why they are inspiring.
- What kind of clients do you like best?
- Do you belong to any professional organizations? (AIPP, PPA, WPPI, NPS, CPS, etc.)
- Do you hold any professional certifications?
- Have you ever spoken at or attended local, regional, or national conferences?
- Have you received any awards for your photography?
- Has your photography ever been published?
- Have you ever written articles or been featured in interviews about photography?
- Has your photography ever been in a gallery or art show?
- List any celebrities you’ve photographed.
- List your most important commercial clients.
- What’s your proudest professional achievement?
- What’s your proudest personal achievement?
- Describe the most important photograph you own.
- Do you belong to any volunteer organizations?
- Do you feel strongly about or actively engage in social issues?
