Color Management
I use a color management workflow that emphasizes accuracy and consistency. Don’t settle for orange people, whites that aren’t white, and foliage that isn’t green.
When I photograph people, places, and things, I ensure color accuracy using color measurement and calibration tools, specialized color-managed computer monitors, and cameras with incredible color accuracy.
Measurement Tools
For projects where accuracy is critical, I use color calibration targets. When I photograph those targets and later edit your project, that information helps me create a custom color profile and perfect white balance. This means your colors are true-to-life.
Computer Monitors
I use top-of-the-line Eizo color-calibrated monitors for my editing workflow. This means when I correct or retouch your photos, they are as accurate to life as possible.
Most computer monitors aren’t calibrated. This means that some are brighter, some are darker, and some show different versions of the same hue.
However, since my monitors are always calibrated, I’ll verify that your image color rendition is near perfect and color-accurate. This means your images will appear as accurate as is possible when viewed on other monitors and accurately on color-managed systems.
Cameras
I use the best professional camera systems available. Those cameras have excellent color rendition and that helps ensure predictable and consistent results on every project.
